Connect, Reflect and Grow
Reflectivus offers facilitated reflective practice groups where people who support others can step back from the pressures of their role, consider how the work is affecting them, and connect with peers in similar positions.
Open Reflectivus Sessions
Open Reflectivus sessions bring together individuals in similar positions from a range of organisations. In small, two-hour online groups of up to eight participants, a facilitator guides a structured, non-clinical conversation that supports self-awareness, connection and more sustainable ways of showing up at work.
Support Workers
Support work can be demanding, whether you are newer to the role or have years of experience. Reflectivus offers time to make sense of the work with others who understand its pressures, strengthen self-awareness and explore ways to sustain your wellbeing and resilience.
Peer Workers
Peer work draws on lived experience while requiring thoughtful boundaries, connection and care. Reflectivus offers space to reflect with others who understand the role, explore how the work is affecting you and consider ways to sustain your wellbeing and practice.
Financial Counsellors
Financial counsellors often support people at times of uncertainty, distress and significant decisions. Reflectivus offers space to consider the impact of carrying this work, reflect with peers who understand its demands and sustain your wellbeing and practice over time.
Case Workers
Case work can involve complexity, responsibility and competing demands, whether you came to the role through social work training, another professional pathway or workplace experience. Reflectivus offers space to pause with others who understand the role, reflect on how the work is affecting you and explore more sustainable ways of supporting your wellbeing at work.
Allied Health Professionals
When supervision focuses mainly on clinical decisions, there may be little space to consider the personal impact of the work. Reflectivus offers allied health professionals dedicated time to reflect with peers on their experiences, wellbeing and everyday practice.
Team Leaders and Managers
Leading from the middle can involve balancing responsibility for people, organisational expectations and decisions, while having limited space to reflect on your own experience. Reflectivus offers time to think alongside others in similar roles, consider how the work is affecting you and explore more sustainable ways of leading and supporting others.
More
If you are drawn to Reflectivus but do not see a session that fits your role, get in touch and tell us about your work and the kinds of colleagues you would like to reflect alongside.
Dedicated Sessions
Designed for teams and organisations, Dedicated Reflectivus Sessions create space to think together about work, relationships and workplace culture.
Sessions can be delivered in person or online and tailored to your context. We can also design complementary workshops where these would strengthen your existing learning and development.
For broader organisational support, including workshops, leadership support and capability development programs, visit McPhee Consulting. If another type of support would be more useful, we can collaborate with other providers or refer you on.
About us
Reflectivus is an initiative of McPhee Consulting, created by facilitators with decades of experience supporting people in helping roles. We make space for people to explore how their work is experienced and how it affects their wellbeing, relationships and everyday practice. Through gentle, guided reflection, participants can build language, perspective and confidence while drawing on the strengths, insights and organisational supports they already have.
What participants say
Reflectivus sessions are designed to provide a thoughtful and supportive space for people to reflect with others who understand their work. Here is what participants have shared about their experience.
